Bio
Adventure games have always been my biggest hobby, with baseball a close second. I grew up in the ‘80s and started with Zork and King’s Quest like many Gen-X folks. Police Quest 2 was the first game I got to play with my dad, and at eight years old I was the one who figured out how to disarm the bomb. After then I was hooked for good. When my wife and I were dating she would come over to play Telltale's Back to the Future. Sometimes my kids ask me to play adventure games so they can watch. We live in Minneapolis.
My favorite subgenres are interactive fiction (I’m a major contributor at IFDb), thriller, mild action-adventure (e.g. Portal, Beyond Good & Evil) and full-motion video. Mainly, though, I just like in-depth stories with good dialogue. My guilty pleasure game is Heart of China.
I’ve written over 200 adventure game reviews for my personal website, Death By Troggles. I’ve also done countdowns on every episode of TNG and DS9, along with a lot of NES reviews.
