AdventureX London 22-23 Nov - KrunchyFriedGames - 11-02-2025 Is anyone else going this year- and what are you looking forward to most? https://www.adventurexpo.org/ I think there are still a handful of tickets left, and it looks like it'll be good. The Dark Room live action video game has me particularly intrigued... RE: AdventureX London 22-23 Nov - Legerdemancy - 11-02-2025 I greatly admire that AdventureX has existed since 2011. To have it running for that long easily shows how dedicated and passionate adventure game enthusiasts are. Furthermore, it's a non-profit event organised by volunteers, which is also very impressive. Unfortunately, I'm unlikely to ever purchase a ticket to AdventureX because the substantial travelling distance from Australia makes it too impractical. RE: AdventureX London 22-23 Nov - Jen - 11-02-2025 Not to mention the cost and hassle. If not for the myriad difficulties, I would love to attend. I did go to E3 a couple times many years ago, and it was fun and hectic and flashy and not much devoted to AGs. This one looks like fun in a different way, more like a gathering of friends or incipient friends. I've only been to one previous AdvX and, yeah, it definitely had a friendly cosy atmosphere. RE: AdventureX London 22-23 Nov - Jen - 11-02-2025 Hi KFG, yes, it was good, but it was also a long time ago when it was more of an industry event than a gaming con. I don’t know what it’s like now, but I’d guess it’s probably all Xbox and PlayStation and furries. Not that there’s anything wrong with furries! RE: AdventureX London 22-23 Nov - inklingwood - 11-02-2025 My wife and I will be there. It'll be our third AdventureX - we got to exhibit at the last one in 2023. Looking forward to actually having time to attend some talks and play some games this time! E3 is no more these days: https://www.gamesindustry.biz/e3-is-dead-now-what It's a bit of a shame it's gone, but somewhat understandable given it lost relevance in the 2010s. |
