Oh, that's Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved isn't it? Did you like it? I think its design philosophy is to play and look like old Japanese Adventures (though I think it is not a Japanese game). I really like this odd subgenre, but there are not many of them around, most of them are Japanese only I guess, with a couple of unofficial tranlation hacks
