Looks like the boss’s office Phantasmagoria 2. Got a little past that before turning it off, probably the worst game I played this year.

Yes it's Phantasmagoria 2! Carry on!

Nailed it. With a pie.

A classic in pastry-based yeticide.

Ï had to dig to keep the winter theme going, but here it is:

Looks like The Book of Unwritten Tales...2?

RE: Adventure game scene game (continued) - srnickolas - 12-28-2025

that game had some obscure puzzle design, if you didn't buy the pie from the bakery (which you conveniently carried half the game in your pockets) you couldn't defeat a yeti (with the pie LOL) and had to start the game again from scratch. Reminds me of the sunblock in Larry 2, if you didn't buy it at the start before the cruise you were doomed after the ship sunk from sunburn, you would think one could buy freaking sunblock in a cruise ship but noooo they deliberately hid the item on the shop from view because they KNEW you would lose with this stupid manner and replay. At least in KQ5 you could openly buy the pie, but saving the mouse in seconds with a boot and a pixel perfect click (later leading to a dead end if you didn't) was a asinine puzzle that I was stuck when i was young

If it looks like a duck and it smells like a duck, it's The Book of Unwritten Tales 2!

From one of the most voluptuously excellent and criminally under-the-radar games of the last ever years.
