RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - Hexenwerk - 10-24-2025 Yes, it's a little reference to Bibi Blocksberg and Witches in general (translated to Hexen in German). ![]() Thank you! The name of the little girl is a little community insider / easter egg, not really spectacular. The Argonauts game jam team had been spontaneously formed in a german point & click adventure forum (adventure-treff). So we are "vintage forum users" as well. I don't know how common it is for you, but we are used to writing "Edit:" when adding something to a post after sending it (if it wasn't just a typo), so readers can understand that a post had been edited and what has been changed/added. Since "Edit" or "Edith" can also be a person's name, one member of that community regularly made fun of this and instead of writing "Edit", like everyone else does, they wrote for example "Astrid" or different names. So it's just a silly insider joke we included to maybe make that community member smile in case they play our game and notice it. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - Legerdemancy - 10-24-2025 Thank you for the detailed response, Hexenwerk. It's very much appreciated! ![]() I love it when adventure games include Easter eggs and secrets like that. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - Joe - 10-24-2025 Status report: - How far are you in the game? - Has anyone managed to finish it? - Has anyone got stuck and needs a hint? RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - Legerdemancy - 10-24-2025 Still stuck on the section I mentioned earlier in the thread. Could I please have a hint to find something green? Along with the method to obtain it. EDIT: (or should that be Astrid?) I discovered the puzzle solution myself. Carry on. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - BobVP - 10-24-2025 hex hex, I managed to open the door to the temple. Difficult puzzle! One of the steps was a bit understated. I also managed to figure out the next painting, but I realized I might be moving beyond the goal post and I saved my game there. It is probably my favourite puzzle in the game. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - LeftHandedGuitarist - 10-24-2025 I got into the temple! Quite tricky to piece that all together, the clues didn't quite make sense, but I got there with some experimentation ![]() Now I'm attempting to reorder things, which feels like a real challenge. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - Argonauts_EK - 10-24-2025 Hi there, another one of the Argonauts developer team here (looks like we're taking over the thread ).I did a playthrough of IMAGinE myself this morning (after all those years) and I have to admit that the later puzzles could use some better signposting. I still think the puzzles are good, though, and worth to get solved. So please don't give up too early, and better ask for a hint instead. That being said: it's great to see a playthrough of one of our games here. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - chrissie - 10-24-2025 I’ve now finished the game & hope that my comments are too vague to be spoilers. (Spoiler tags are definitely needed!) I got stuck towards the end trying to get a colour until I realised, after several attempts, I just needed to be quicker! And the most challenging puzzle, for me, & also my favourite, was finding the sequence to open the temple door which was straightforward after a little investigation! To comment on the other 3 artworks, the ‘child’s’ one was my third favourite (was that by a developer or one of your offspring?) & the final one my second favourite which I thought was very clever in being able to construct it differently. Overall, I thought it was an excellent game. I loved the idea of objects in different paintings needed to progress elsewhere. It was a nice surprise to have the input & some interesting info from the development team & I love the way you are portrayed on the credits screen! Thanks, Joe for hosting the playthrough. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - LeftHandedGuitarist - 10-24-2025 I've finished! That was good fun, and well put together for something so quick. The different styles of paintings helped add a sense of variety. I'm glad that I managed to get through the whole thing by myself, the only place I got really stuck and frustrated was with rearranging the final painting. That took me a while. A very good job from all involved, and a fun community playthrough. RE: Community Playthrough: IMAGinE (2021) - BobVP - 10-24-2025 Oh dang everyone's finishing the game! Let me catch up real quick. That was fun! I liked the variety in art and the element of surprise. I enjoyed the focus on problem solving and discovery. Unusual solutions, I tried many and some of them actually worked. Cool game and a fun CPT! Thanks Joe, shoutout to the developers and thanks for dropping by! And thanks to my fellow participants, good times. |
