Most anticipated adventure games of 2026 - Pluto - 12-20-2025 What are your most anticipated adventure games of 2026? RE: Most anticipated adventure games of 2026 - LeftHandedGuitarist - 12-20-2025 For traditional adventures, I'm most excited for: Theropods (dinosaurs and lovely pixel art!) Broken Relic The Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon (one of my favourite current game series) Long Gone (looks gorgeous and clever) Mesektet Enoch: Children of Fate Ghost Haunting For adventure-adjacent/non-traditional games, I'm looking forward to: Mixtape (Life Is Strange-esque) Star Trek: Infection (VR, but let's hope that it's one of the good ones) Forever Ago Call of the Elder Gods (adored the first game, excellent puzzles) Will: Follow the Light Rivage Deliver Us Home Recur RE: Most anticipated adventure games of 2026 - kamineko - 12-20-2025 Dimhaven - The Lost Source Home: A Story of Light As The Leaves Fall Also I hope these games show some signs of life this year: The Big Hollow Aurora: The Lost Medallion (a.k.a. The Cave) Coven (a.k.a. Witchcraft) (yes, it's pretty much dead, but you never know) (12-20-2025, 06:06 PM)LeftHandedGuitarist Wrote: Broken Relic Is it me or the native resolution of Broken Relic is higher than even 640x360? If so count me among the waiting. It's always nice to see pixel art AGs with resolutions higher that 320x200. RE: Most anticipated adventure games of 2026 - Karlok - 12-21-2025 TR-49 by Inkle - I watched Laura Cress interviewing Jon Ingold, one of my favorite devs (Overboard, Expelled, several text adventures). Narrative deduction with an audio drama layer, inspired by Obra Dinn and The Roottrees Are Dead. Laura also mentioned "Her Story elements". Three of my favorite games. Release date January 21.Servant of the Lake - I'm addicted to the Rusty Lake games. Crushed in Time - I will buy anything by the devs of There Is No Game. Broken Sword: Parzival's Stone - hopefully in 2026. Phonopolis - hopefully in 2026. The Incident at Galley House - by the devs of The Roottrees Are Dead. RE: Most anticipated adventure games of 2026 - Pluto - 12-26-2025 I was trying to put list of top ten most anticipated adventure games from my side. It is not easy to manage it as development if adventure games is often longer than expected and it is difficult to predict, which game will be published next year or later (or never). So when I have excluded all games which for sure will not be published in 2027 (for example Broken Sword 6, Messenger of Death: Blood Bond, Two Realms, Gilt, Ghost Haunting, A Vampyre Story: A Bat’s Tale or The Mystery of Doomsday Valley), here is my top ten: Whirlight - No Time To Trip Recur Broken Sword 2 - Dýmající zrcadlo: Reforged Legends of Castile Phonopolis Dimhaven - The Lost Source Earth Must Die Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss The Occultist Hela Of course there is lot of games which can be mentioned like The Season of the Warlock, The Mystery of Oak Island, Ontos, Perfect Tides: Station to Station, Reanimal, The Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon, We Grew Up in War, Directive 8020, Sleepytime Village, Castle Dornstein, The Dark Rites of Arkham, Theropods, Broken Relic, Long Gone, Mesektet, WILL: Follow The Light, Forever Ago, Call of the Elder Gods, Cairn, Big Walk, The Dropouts, Springs, Eternal and plenty of others... RE: Most anticipated adventure games of 2026 - Wild Boar - 12-26-2025 The Occultist could be something, but unlike the Darkling Room games and the two Wild Boar games, I'll buy it on sale. I've sunk €1,500 into Steam this year, which I think is a bit much. Especially since I don't even remember what I bought anymore. The whole mess started when I sold my ETFs and stocks in anticipation of a crash. I'll still take advantage of the Steam sale, but then I'd rather save up gold and silver again so I can buy the Steam Machine, the controller, the Steam Deck, and the VR glasses in the fall. My household budget was such a shock that I vowed never again to buy games that I can't and won't play in the next few weeks. I'm probably very German in that respect, but I need a buffer in my finances, even if it's just in my securities account. |
