Looking for feedback on a point-and-click game - ZachiMann - 09-05-2026

Hi,

Where The Arc Falls is a story-rich coming-of-age adventure game about Elia
who goes looking for her mentor, when he mysteriously vanishes after an unexplained celestial event.
The story will take her through strange places, old secrets, and things that don't quite fit with what she knows about her world.

I've recently released a free demo, and I'm looking for some feedback from people who enjoy point-and-click adventures.

Demo (Windows):
Where The Arc Falls on itch.io

Here's the trailer:

What I mostly want to know is whether the story is captivating. Did you get curious about what happened to Elia's mentor? Did you want to continue when the demo ended?
Also, if something was confusing, a puzzle didn't make sense, or there was a point where you lost interest, I'd really like to know.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've finished the demo. At the moment it is not engaging because I don't know  the story of the main caharacter, who he is and why does  he look about his mentor. I wouldn't care to continue at this stage. Maybe adding a prologue that explains the Lore and characters, so you get to care for them. Speaking of lore and the world I liked the vibes, it reminded me of the new age of discovery era that sea travel and trade is the thing with portuguese/spanish vibes. Puzzles were ok,not confusing, but I am not fond of slider puzzles, the slider puzzle was ok at its own as a stand alone, but it doen't really combine well with the narrative and generally I don't like these simple puzzles in story focused games becasuse they take me out of immersion, i don't mind them in puzzle exploraion games or casual games. The city scene was nice but a lot was going on, I found the graphics too cumbersome and straining for my eyes, too many colors and details with nothing really standing out and not a lot of interactivity spots. Its a nice touch that it zooms and and there is a hotspot finder. I would advice to put a shortcut of the hot spot finder in the middle mouse button and to make the hot spot finder areas more noticeable cause these little white sparkles are not easily visible in the city scene. The mentor's laboratory was really nice. I couldn't hear sound or music,I dont know if this is a bug. The cinematic was bizzare, I don't think it added anything, a bit exaggerated really and also somewhat alien to the rest of the game. Was it created with AI assistance? Anyway thanks for sharing your demo, good luck

Thanks a lot for your feedback! much appreciated.
Sound & music should have definitely worked. You are the 1st reporting otherwise.
Get your point about the slider puzzle.
Part of the philosophy was to let players learn or deduce by themselves the lore and relations between characters, it is true that in this very short demo - not a lot is revealed. I believe that changes in the full chapter - which is also under playtesting now.
