Hah! You are vindicated! Thank you for the welcome, it's a pleasure to be here! Too bad they have to compete!Just by way of explanation: the reason the name "Roger Wilco" started to be pushed up front, and the Space Quest name de-emphasized, was actually twofold. Fascinating. Going for 2,3,4,5,6,7 is so old school.... I remember lots of movies did it as well in the 80's and 90's. Music industry never went that way. Except for guns n roses that one time. RE: The Sierra Box Art Grand Tournament – Vote for the Greatest Cover! - LadyKestrel - 10-13-2025 There's something about a man who has the strength to wield a longbow that sets my heart aflutter. I choose Conquest of the Longbow. The late actor, Robert Hardy, wrote a very interesting book about the history of the weapon. RE: The Sierra Box Art Grand Tournament – Vote for the Greatest Cover! - Jen - 10-13-2025 Again I don’t care for either one, but I really hate the art style on LSL, so I’m going with Conquests of the Longbow. RE: The Sierra Box Art Grand Tournament – Vote for the Greatest Cover! - Joshua AGH - 10-14-2025 Oh jeez. I'm going with Robin Hood, although its not easy to distinguish in a hurry. Waaay too much going on. But i have never liked the Larry 7 cover. I feel like it's the equivalent of an "eye candy" comic book cover. The water skiing makes zero sense. RE: The Sierra Box Art Grand Tournament – Vote for the Greatest Cover! - Legerdemancy - 10-14-2025 I’m voting for Leisure Suit Larry 7. The vibrant primary colours attract attention, whilst the purple and white colours give the image balance. It features readily apparent slapstick jokes that thankfully aren’t too crude. Good use of motion blur with Larry’s head. Pleasant tonal hues of the sky. Proficiently drawn refreshing ocean waves. It’s my favourite packaging cover so far in this competition. Conquests of the Longbow is a very nice cover too. I like the muted gold tones used as a backdrop for the lettering. The marketing angle appears to be about having a variety of characters and a strong nature aesthetic, which is certainly a fail-safe cover design, but maybe they could have tried something more ambitious.
