Thanks for reminding me of this. I played the first version of the demo back in 2024 and wasn't sure if it was still being worked on. Now I see that the new demo contains more missions so I'm happy to see it's still in progress. It has some clunky controls and pixel-hunting, but the lore is really cool. Looking forward to checking out the new parts.

Looking for freeware titles, I came across two upcoming games that might be of interest. 

I Need To Go on Steam

   

I like the style. The main character is a metalhead - could be a positive, but I'm not sure where he falls on the scale of genuine to generic at this point. The project description leans towards the latter: "A story filled with humor and emotion, coupled with interesting puzzles that evoke nostalgia, laughter and thought."  I checked out the discord, the developers are still making progress. Fingers crossed.

Ashwood Conspiracy: Demo by Yawning Dog Studios



This one's described as a dark Slavic mystery adventure. There's a demo. I checked a couple of streamers, they were positive and wanted to see more.
