Newly independent Double Fine have just launched their Kickstarter for a fresh round of Amnesia Fortnight.
If you don't know the studio, they're responsible for Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. (And were founded by LucasArts alum Tim Schafer.)
They haven't done this in a while.
Essentially, the entire team takes two weeks off whatever they're working on for an in-house game jam, where everyone can pitch projects. Four of those pitches will be made into prototypes and the whole process will be documented by regular video updates.
This has resulted in some wonderful games over the years.
Plus, it's just a neat way to support the studio adjust to post-Microsoft life.
