I've really enjoyed The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC so far, can't WAIT to start Hades II, (Also looking forward to new Pokemon! And the Trails vs Ys game), and Blue Prince is really good so far! Heartworm by DreadXP is also good (though again, not super far in it, it's quite challenging tbh). And we got Nice Day for Fishing released!!

I think we've had some great games this year!

Oh, Hades 2! I really like Hades. It's a difficult game imo, but really enjoyable. I've been really into roguelikes lately. Slay the Spire, Vampire Survivors, Brotato! Been playing a lot of Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor the past few weeks. Really good game. I'll have to give Hades II a shot. Didn't even know it existed, tbh.

My favorite game besides some adventure games is Death's Door which is a cure souls-like game which is not that hard. I am 19h in that game and enjoyed every moment.

I am not that far in Hades II, but I definitely recommend it so far!! It was only released like, two weeks ago?On PC in early access for a while, but the first game played SO WELL on Switch I refuse to play on any other console.

Nice, I just looked it up. I'm glad that they kept the same theme going. It looks cool! If I finish the first Hades (I got stuck at an impasse and gave up for a bit lol) before they release the new one on XBOX, I'll pick it up on Switch as well.

I'm impatiently waiting for the release of Vampire the Masquerade, Bloodlines 2. Obviously I need to look into Herdling. Currently I'm in far too deep with the new Belzebub Diablo 1 mod.

If life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.

You won`t reget playing Herding, I promise.

I've heard mixed things about Bloodlines 2, a friend of mine is quite a big fan and so I heard allll the behind the scenes details. Great timing for a Halloween release too!

I haven't done much gaming this year, and it may sound stupid, but the game I enjoyed most this year so far was a very casual small game named "Is this seat taken?".

It's a funny kind of puzzle with living "tiles". People who want to sit next to each other or not, and you have to find the correct combination.

The game has its own cute graphics style and funny and rewarding animations. It's a nice game when you are almost dying of stress from work and really need some kind of friendly and wholesome balance.
Unfortunately, as all games, it will end.

Other than that I have to confess that I haven't played all 2025 games I have checked out yet. I have played a few veeery nice adventure games, but those don't belong in this thread. So ...

There is one other game I want to mention though:

"Strange Antiquities". I played the prequel, "Strange Horticulture", and loved it very very much!
I don't know yet if this second title from this series is as awesome, but maybe I should actually start this one next. I am quite sure it is a nice one for this time of year, just like Strange Horticulture.
