Hello anyone who is willing to talk to me Rolleyes - but if you remember me from elsewhere you'll probably decline  Cry   Wink

And thanks to Lady K for notifying the ProBoards forum setup by Intense Degree that this place was now open for business.

Hey Jabod, I don’t know you from anywhere, so I’m happy to talk to you. Unfortunately for you, I don’t have much to say outside of inane chatter.

Maybe there should be a review section?

That's very kind of you Jen. Sadly, those that may remember me from elsewhere (Jackal, Lady K, Chrissie, Lucien) will tell you I'm a miserable, pedantic, know-nothing slob of an old fart so you'll probably get bored with me easily. It's a sad state of affairs but it is what it is  Confused
Actually we may get on well. As you can see/read inane chatter is my speciality  Rolleyes

On a rather more serious note - if I'm ever capable of such a thing - thank you for the greeting.

hi Jabod! How's life?

*PZIIIING* – the sound of a time jump 20 years back into a simpler and better life, when there was no big corporation social media designed to make us into passive, Zuckerberg-pleasing sheep, but rather beautiful old school forums, full of beautiful people with a common admiration of adventure games!

*Weeeeeeeeeeeeee...* *THUD* – the sound of me falling down a shaft and plummeting down on the floor of said forums, before saying «Hey! Nice to meet you all!»

*SCHPLACKK* – the sound of facepalm, because of the fact that I created at least one kind-of-hello thread before recognising that there already was one!

At BobVP - Life is what you'd expect for someone like me. Lonely, unwanted, only the sound of poorly voiced Adventure Game characters to keep me company.   Confused But! That's an amazing improvement on life before AGs so I'm extremely happy - compared to the past  Confused
Back in reality I just wish I could complete the games I have installed - currently at 22 - but that could be an age thing of course.
I trust life is good with you.

AtEirik - I wouldn't worry about it sunshine. If I'd seen this one first I'd have posted here instead of the other, much shorter, thread. Posting in two places please my schizophrenic nature so it works out well all round  Big Grin
Cheers for the greeting and, hopefully, I can contribute something serious/sensible in the near future.

I never hung around the Adventure Gamers forum, but I did spend quite some time on the the Adventure Game Studio forums about 20 years ago... (and still skulk around there now and then, even though they aren't quite as busy as they used to be...)

Looking forward to having in depth discussions with fellow adventure game lovers as well as finding out about hidden gems that I did not even know about!

Thank you folks. It means so much to us.

Hi Wild Boar, what do you have in mind?

Couldn't you set up a section to collect reviews? A section like “Other Games” or “Adventure Games,” for example.
