Maybe fans find that more relatable?
Regarding the second part of your comment, here's a quote from the official announcement:
"Our goal isn’t just to “polish it up,” but to give it a thorough renovation without losing its original charm.
︀︀
︀︀To achieve this, we’re dusting off every pixel by hand (DLSS 5? What’s that? ?), making the game ready for modern systems, and carefully refining its gameplay, UI, and overall player experience."
Might be a stretch to assume that includes switching up the puzzles, but who knows.

The creative ways that are chosen by the AI and if indeed it is a "graphics enhancement" is open to interpretation and is controversial in terms of art...but that's what I am reading here and there, my computer is from the middle ages and can't run anything cutting edge anyway

Hi everyone!
For those who don't know, White Blanket Games (Susanna Granell and I) just released a new game!
Midnight Scenes: Among Graves on Steam!
![[Image: header.jpg?t=1773766817]](https://shared.akamai.steamstatic.com/store_item_assets/steam/apps/4113480/9a106cab0e21b741df9efd2487a30719541f54a7/header.jpg?t=1773766817)
"Midnight Scenes are nothing short of masterpieces." - Rock Paper Shotgun
"Works on Mac?" - Ron Gilbert
"Can’t believe I hadn’t heard of these games before." - Dave Gilbert
"What is your job again?" - Mom
"TOO SHORT!!" - Someone, always
This is the sixth episode of the critically acclaimed Midnight Scenes saga, a series of short horror games I started a decade ago.
This one is a ghost story, for those who enjoy this kind of things.
Warning: these games are 100% narrative-driven, more visual novel than a typical Pn'C adventure game, which means no puzzles and lots of story and dialogue
If anyone gives it a chance, I hope you enjoy it!

Looks good! I can do with some deep breathing and/or a grounding technique.
I just came across this game. It has been in development for years, but the developers posted an update last month.
Castle Dornstein on Steam
A Gothic mystery adventure about a mysterious medieval text, The Devil’s Diary. It has a (recently updated) demo and is supposed to be released "late 2026".
Might be good? I love a castle with a dark history.

The Last Crown - Silent Night will be out by May, barring sudden work jobs, and my Blackenrock build will be available to play in the Net Hut during CrownFest. Which is quite cool.
Silent Night - https://store.steampowered.com/app/893670/Silent_Night/
But not in Germany, I really hate this f***ing country. One of the most beautiful moments of my life will be when the plane takes off and I know that I will never set foot on German soil again. Germany is one big pile of sh*t.
(Gemini) The New Age Rating Policy on Steam
Since November 15, 2024, Valve (the company behind Steam) has tightened its guidelines for the German market. Due to Germany’s Youth Protection Act, all games on Steam must now have a valid age rating in order to be displayed in the store in Germany at all.
What happened with Darkling Room?
International indie developers like “Darkling Room” (Jonathan Boakes) are often unaware of this specific German regulation.
To make the game visible in Germany, the developer simply needs to fill out a short questionnaire (“Content Survey”) in the Steam backend system (Steamworks), which automatically generates an age rating. If a game—whether old, new, or not yet released—does not have this rating, Steam automatically hides it completely from users with a German IP address or a German account (geoblocking).

Hello, just stumbled here after seeing the devastation at the Adventure Gamers site, phew! Anyway, here's a trailer for my upcoming game, Dunwich Horror!
The game is a Lovecraftian monster hunt adventure with light RPG elements. You control Professor Armitage, who must travel to the dreaded town of Dunwich after rumors of an occult monster terrorizing the area.

Like so many Lovecraftian adventure games, it looks awesome and has a super generic title. Wishlisted.
