Mixed bag. I love the strange graphics - very fitting. The voice actors are really going for it, it gets a little hammy but again - it fits the Lovecraft atmosphere.

Some of the puzzles are not entirely reasonable, others are bland. The game can be stingy with directions and there are several action-oriented scenes near the end. It has some clever moments, but it is not well-designed.

It's funny, strange and it will end you in a heartbeat. If you see a Jack Nicholson-looking son of a mother, trust your instinct.

I think it's worth experiencing at least once, in some form or another. It's got some issues with puzzles and gameplay design to the point where I would personally suggest using a spoiler free walkthrough if you want to play through it. Playing without one would guarantee you get stuck for a long time, multiple times, in not fun ways.
