Big fan of paintings in adventure games. I think these are from An English Haunting.

I can remember endless details about 200 adventure games but I'm completely blind when I see still pictures from them.

That's true, often here I see scenes that I cant't believe they belong to a specific title. Some of these games are 10, 20, 30 or even more years ago its crazy

Making Sir Arthur Conan Doyle a character was a clever and original move!

Here's another inventory. I appreciate this game, not sure whether that is the general consensus, or even if people have played/remember this at all. A regular screenshot will follow if this one doesn't do the trick.

Is that Return to Mysterious Island?

..Close, once again! Same engine, this one came out a year later. Also inspired by Jules Verne.

Journey to the Moon?

Journey to the Center of the Earth!

(If you have kids, stick your finger in their bellybutton while saying this in a funny voice.)

That's it!

I have fond memories of this one. I think the first Return to Mysterious Island is easier to recommend, this one is a bit more eccentric. Maybe that's why I like it even more.

edit: I just noticed the Baron also gave an answer, I had missed it before. The screenshot was taken on the Moon, not the Earth, so srnickolas was correct.
