At first I thought this was a joke - it sounded like a PS5 shooter or something. But I looked it up and that's a deep cut.
This game is older and was actually a commercial release. No development tools, no egine: just Visual Basic and what I imagine to be Micosoft Paint. The music comes out as stilted and awkard as the player controls.
There was a time I'd play anything shaped like an adventure game - and this game certainly fits that bill.

But I looked it up and that's a deep cut.Yeah "beyond the horizon" was (is) a a crudely designed game, the creator couldn't find an artist to help with the graphics in the AGS forums and so he decided to just make it himself with his limited skills and knowledge at the time. That's what the alpha in the name implies I think (alpha version). I haven't played it for years but I remember that it was really good and entertaining in contrast to its looks. Your photo reminded me of the crude graphics of that game

Thats so bizarre Bob, I did a a dive in Mobygames to find this, its Dave Dude right? Is this any good, should I play it? It can be found in abandonware sites
