What are your favourite 3 games of all time, from any genre?

I'll kick off:

Recent: The Witness

Older: Shenmue

Childhood: Captain Blood (on the Amstrad CPC)

Good question! My answers would change depending on what time of day you asked me.

Recent: I've not really played enough from the past few years to give a good answer. It's probably between Call of the Sea and Immortality.
Older: Portal 2
Childhood: TIE Fighter

Ha, me too! We had a black and white telly with a tuning dial (like a radio) and a screen that was probably all of 15"? I still managed to get my unbranded pong clone and light-rifle hooked up to it though :p

Childhood: Candyland and Monopoly board games (We got a black & white tv when I was in kindergarten.)
Older: Starship Titanic, my first computer game
Recent: Machinarium (I have a lot of catching up to do as I wend my way through so many I missed.)

My dream job would be driving a Zamboni over ice.

Oh, I absolutely loved this too! It was one of the few games I had for my lime green iMac c. 2000.

Recent: Pikmin 3. (this was the hardest - I think this game represents the most joy, challenge and the fondest memories for me)
Older: Castle of Elite.
Childhood: King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella.

I had a blueberry iMac back then, and I'm about to set up my new orange one.

My dream job would be driving a Zamboni over ice.

This one's kinda difficult, especially for the "recent" one. But I think this is probably it, if I had to choose:

Childhood: King's Field (KF2 Japan)
Older: Baldur's Gate 2
Recent: Resident Evil 2 Remake

Another of the few games I had on my lime green iMac! The others were Deus Ex and Heroes of Might and Magic 3, and really any of them could have occupied the 'older' slot on my list but were not quite as amazing at the time as Shenmue, though.
