Now that's a proposition. Welcome to the (mostly) leaderless Gobliiins community playthrough! To keep things going, I'm making and updating the thread. Anyone can join at any point, feel free to discuss and ask for hints. When giving a hint, please use spoiler tags. We'll be moving on to the next screen after three days - you can still jump in and catch up, but the focus will be on the screen where we are at the time.

The story follows three goblins on a quest to aid their king, who has had some mysterious mental health issues as of late. They wizard Niak claims he can cure the king's madness, if the goblins bring him three items. This is where we come in.

Asgard/BoBo (Fighter): Physical strength, punches, climbs, general physical interaction with the environment.
Ignatius/Hooter (Wizard): Uses magic, often in unpredictable ways.
Oups/Dwayne (Technician): The most classic AG hero of the three, able to pick up, combine, and use items found in the environment.
You can click on the character you wish to control, or on the crystal ball in the bottom centre of the screen.

Here's the first screen! A lot of this game is based on trying things and seeing what happens. Be careful, though.. some things cause harm. It is one of the tricky elements of this game, but it's also part of the fun.

Have fun! I'll wait for Shivers. Couldn't have a more apropos title considering what's going on in the world today.

Too true.

Honestly, I don't have high expectations for this thread. If anyone joins in, I'll do what I can to keep some momentum going.

I see that Gobliiins is the next community playthrough. Nice!

I'll post the next screen as soon as I find time to finish the first one Wink

Oh boy, here we go again!
Gobliins was actually one of the few point-and-click games I played as a kid.
I only got into the genre way into adulthood.

This first screen brings back some memories.
It is mostly frustration because of the moon logic puzzles..
I never finished it. I think every time I got to the midpoint, I gave up.
Let's see what happens this time.

Anyway, first screen.  Each goblin has something to do here, so you can check out what they can do.
I don't think there's any way to lose health here. But I didn't make many interactions. Maybe someone will list all the things that can be done here.

Now let's move on to the second screen. Code: VQVQFDE (I don't think posting a password is a spoiler).

I'm not there yet. If memory serves, you can get your Goblins hurt around here, but they can take a few bumps.

Has anyone played the the more recent Goblii(i)ns game, 4, 5 and 6?

I've played some more. I found two interactions with the gate that can harm the goblin.
I have 6 on my backlog. It's been sitting there since February.

Ι finished all of them (haven't finished azimuth though yet i am stuck), my favorite is the third and for me one of the top 100 adventures of all time. I liked the sixth from the modern ones the most. The levels are a bit ambiguous in puzzle design (sometimes you dont progress levels for reasons that seem trivial and there is some infuriating pixel hunting but it is doable, I didnt use a walkthrough) but also complex with lots of interactions and beautiful art.

I've never played any of the Gobliins games, so this seems like a great chance to start. Unfortunately I don't have time right now, though. Anyway I'm enjoying getting a little "sneak peak" via this thread
