I choose The Beast Within. It's powerful and dramatic.
Life: Adventures guaranteed. Instructions not included.
I'm voting for Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within.
Vivid and haunting presence conveyed entirely using embossed surface imagery. Elegantly efficient.
Versus a paint-by-numbers fantasy scene encased in a narrow viewport? It never stood a chance.

QFG2 is one of my favourite games, but the cover design for Beast Within is way more intriguing. My vote is Beast Within
The Beast Within by quite a margin for me. That's a gorgeous piece of art. Those two boxes side by side also show how much graphic design evolved across those years.
Quest of Glory 2!!!
Am I missing something or is QFG 2 also listed on the Eastern Conference bracket, second series from the top?
Oh, my vote is for GK2.

Rubacava, just a quick suggestion for future box art tournaments. Ideal candidates include: the Nancy Drew series with 34 covers, and the Humongous Entertainment series with 20 covers. Even rounded numbers will make things convenient, plus they are all point & click adventures.
