I oddly like the mystery house cover a ton....kinda hard to explain. At first glance that melting, ghostly “MYSTERY HOUSE” title looks hand-painted and very eye-pleasing. And  the house being framed like a stage reveals multiple small vignettes: people inside, shadows, and traps. It draws you in to explore every corner, echoing the gameplay experience of exploring the rooms. 

 The Johnny Castaway I feel its good but it could have been much better if they made any of the elements stand out more, perhaps johnny himself. Everything looks evenly splattered into that composition.

 Vote goes to Mystery House.

Johnny Castaway is not that bad, bud yeah, Mystery House is better.

Mystery House gets my vote.

I'm voting for Mystery House. Nicely detailed cover art in conjunction with a self-explanatory theme.

A screensaver box was never going to receive the same level of attention to detail and resources as a fully-fledged game. It's worth noting that I do have very fond memories of being entertained by the Johnny Castaway screensaver itself, it's way more charming than the mundane representation seen on the box.

I have so many fond memories of sitting and passively watching the Johnny Castaway screensaver! I can still hear him grumpily mumbling «a-mee-mee-mamminoolla» inside my head. And the cover art ain’t bad at all.
But Mystery House looks more interesting, so my vote goes to that. Cool art with some interesting details, and I also love the smokey, flowing letters.

Mystery House. It's not great, but I think it's leagues above Johnny Castaway in terms of the art.
