It was alright!
I wanted to do a tribute or justification for each game, but I don't have it in me - maybe later. I discovered many games.
Listing time:
1. The Past Within
2. Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer
3. Bad Dream: Afterlife
4. Perfect Tides
5. Milo And The Magpies
6. ISOLAND: The Amusement Park
7. Inspector Waffles
8. Parallel Experiment
9. Spectacle
10. The Epsilon Outcome
The winners have been announced!
Thanks everyone for taking part!
See the first post for the details.
Now for some trivia:
129 games were listed.
40 games got 0.5 points (thanks, srnickolas).
10 games got 1 point.
Most standard taste:
Joe and kamineko, who both gave 32 points for the winning titles.
The most avant-garde taste:
LeftHandedGuitarist, who gave only 3 points for winning titles.
The most honourable winner:
The game in second place ended up on 4 honourable mention lists.
Personally, I'm pretty surprised by number 4 (but you gotta love them pretty pixels), and I REALLY need to finally play number 1.

Interesting list. I haven't played or heard of six of those games.
I just downloaded Spectacle myself it's free. Thanks for the picks Bob
Interesting list. A few thoughts:
- I loved Legend of Skye and so did lots of other people, obviously. Still surprised it was ranked #1. I thought it was a bit of a sleeper favorite.
- Didn't realize Paranormasight was so highly regarded. I've never played it, and now I'm looking forward to it.
- Urban Witch Story is a great game, but I thought the other games by that developer, English Haunting and Nightmare Frames, were significantly better. Maybe not as thematically resonant?
- Surprised Loco Motive didn't make the Top 10. I thought it was visually superlative, just 'okay' in most other ways, but the game was a critical darling. When it came out, it received almost the level of acclaim that Foolish Mortals is currently getting. Thought it'd be Top 5, at least Top 10.
- I had never even heard of You're Watching Icebox!, but I just bought it. I've played and enjoyed other Powerhoof games.
- Will of Arthur Flabbington made it, but The Drifter didn't. Didn't see that coming.
- Flabbergasted that The Phantom Fellows isn't in the Top 10, especially since the developer is very active in the adventure gaming community and especially especially since the game is so good. This is probably the most slept on awesome point and click game I know of.
- I'm replaying Lucy Dreaming at the moment, and it's still my number 1 game of the last 5 years, and up there with Longbow and Tentacle in my all-time-so-far Top 3.
