Recommend or talk about what TV or Movies you have been watching.

Last movie I watched was

Loved it. Acting was great esp Sean Penn was weird and chilling. Great soundtrack and story

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

I recently finished Alien: Earth and it was terrible but I had so much fun with it. So I'm not sure what that was all about. Great ideas, bizarrely poor execution.

I liked all the alt rock songs used for the end credits, though.

Alien Earth was great for the first few episodes and the flashback on the crashed ship episode, but ended up being disapointing.

Also that damn ending Sad

The songs were great

Add me to the "just finished watching Alien: Earth and somewhat disappointed" club. You know there are problems when the xenomorph isn't even the most interesting alien. (Loved the eyeball spider-thing!)

I actually thought the CG was pretty good in many respects – except for the adult xenomorph, which has never looked more like a man in a rubber suit than this.

I thought a loose alien on Earth would be a neat concept, but instead it was caged and practically domesticated by the end? Pffft. The best parts were the ones on the ship -- not out of nostalgia, but because being trapped on a metal ship in space with an acid-bleeding alien and a saboteur is where the real terror comes from.

Before that I binged Welcome to Wrexham and liked it way more than I expected. I'm anything but a soccer (sorry: football) fan, but the club's real-world trials and turnaround were so remarkable you'd swear it must have been scripted, and it's fascinating to see a whole town's identity so entwined in the fate of a local sports team. Great production, too, with Ryan Reynolds, Rob McEllhenney as owners/hosts and some star power cameos.

I recently watched Superman (2025). PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK. I was feeling so giddy when I was watching it, awwwwww. Felt so happy to see my favorite superhero finally being treated properly on the big screen.

Also watching a show called the Boondocks. Really enjoying it. Very funny!!!

(I am easy to please, so cant criticize that easily)

Oh, I have an admission to make on something I've been watching.

Classic episodes of Neighbours, the Australian soap opera that started in the 1980s (Kylie Minogue! Jason Donovan!), are being uploaded on an official YouTube channel, from the beginning. I checked out one episode from 1989 to indulge in a bit of nostalgia, was sucked in and now I can't stop watching. They're uploading 3-5 episodes per day at the moment.

Just finished watching American Horror Story S10: Double Feature. Somehow I missed that season when it was aired on regular TV over here. It wasn't that great...

Last movie I saw I think was The Truman Show, because my son wanted to watch it. It's hard to fit in full movies these day...

Also watching Four Seasons with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. I mean, they are in it; I'm watching with my wife... It's quite funny.

I have also recently finished Alien Earth - it wasn't great but I wasn't expecting it to be either. Alien is one of my favourite films and every sequel to it has never really lived up to it. Yes, even Aliens which is fine I guess, but turning H.R. Giger's biomechanical nightmares into essentially just space bugs with queens and hives has always seemed far too mundane and terrestrial to be truly alien to me in the same way the original film feels. Despite watching nearly every Alien film (I still haven't got around to Alien Romulus but I imagine it's just more of the same; I never watched one of the AVPs but those barely count) I've long ago came to the conclusion that Alien should have never turned into a franchise...

Anyway, back to Alien Earth, the biggest twist in it for me by far was at the end of the first episode when the credits were rolling and Adrian Edmondson's name appeared. I hadn't recognised him at all and had to rewind to figure out where he appeared. I'm so used to thinking of him as how he looks in old TV sitcoms from the 80s and 90s like The Young Ones and Bottom.

I’m going to watch the Project Runway final this afternoon. I love Law Roach as a judge.
