I'm currently watching a few things!
Scrubs - I'm rewatching the show before the new series begins next month. It's still an absolute classic, they caught lightning in a bottle with the writing and cast. I'm currently up to season 5, and I'd say that's where it begins to go off the rails a bit too much. The jokes and fantasies go much more silly and outlandish that previously, and it begins to get a bit tiresome. Fortunately they eventually recognise this and will pull things back on track eventually.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - enjoyable so far, I like the more light-hearted approach to storytelling in Westeros, and the shorter episode lengths. It's made me laugh quite a bit so far, and the young boy playing Egg is particularly great. I read the source material years ago and it's strong, so far this seems quite authentic.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy - I'm up and down on this. I thought the initial premiere episode was fantastic, but the following two have not worked for me. Episode 3 in particular, I kind of hated. I can see potential here, I've already become fond of some of the characters, but others are quite weak and uninteresting with poor performances. Paul Giamatti, Robert Picardo and Holly Hunter are great, I just need them to be in it more. Star Trek is one of my core loves, so I'm likely sticking with this and keeping my fingers crossed.
Matlock (season 2) - one of the few shows that my parents watch too, so it's fun to discuss the episodes with them when we chat. The show is an easy watch which then hides surprising depth and twists, and something of a guilty pleasure for me.
The Pitt (season 2) - probably the best thing currently on television, and I'm in love with all the characters. Not for the squeamish.

Jack, I just listened to the latest episode of the AGH podcast and was pleased when you mentioned Adolescence and Fisk as two of your favorite viewables of 2025. I don't watch much, but I've seen those two and enjoyed them a lot. Very different shows. It was interesting how Adolescence used good storytelling and writing to keep you interested during the real time car rides to and from places, especially the phone call in the last episode.
Fisk is smart dumb comedy that pokes fun at the things I like to poke fun at in ways that I would poke fun at them if I was smart enough.

I've just finished watching the She-Ra animated series on netflix, before they remove it and before my one-month subscription ends.
I was really surprised and didn't expect to enjoy this so much. Watched He-Man as a kid, but was never a fan of She-Ra. The "princesses" and everything, not my cup of tea. But I didn't expect princesses to be so cool. Can't even decide which of the characters I liked most.
Ah, beforehand I watched the last episodes of Stranger Things, which was the actual reason why I got a month of Netflix in the first place. Epic.

I’m catching up by finally watching Andor season 2… And I am at a loss for words, it is SO good. Very different in tone than the rest of Star Wars, but I like that Star Wars doesn’t have to be *one* thing.
@LeftHandedGuitarist: I love Star Trek too! I started a massive Star Trek binge project once, watching everything in timeline order - yes, even intertwining TNG, DS9 and VOY episodes, using a guide by podcast network Trek.fm (and of course making a massive Excel sheet to keep track of everything). Alas, I got stuck somewhere around DS9 season 2 – I know, just around when it’s about to get really good… This was around 10 years ago, and now suddenly I’ve lost track of all the new series – Picard, Strange New Worlds, and a whole bunch of others…! I will have to pick up on everything and finish my Star Trek project later. It’s just such a big undertaking.
Anyway, I really have a soft spot for the 90’s stuff. Shows like TNG feel like a «safe space» because they don’t have the same level of intensity as newer shows, which I sometimes struggle with. And even when they’re being serious, they still have a touch of that 90’s goofiness which makes the world feel like a better place. This also applies to my actual favourite TV series of all time – Babylon 5 (that I’m also rewatching since it’s FINALLY been released on Blu-ray)
Oh, and I’m also rewatching Star Wars: Rebels. I’m being totally unrealistic, since I obviously can’t watch all these at the same time…
But I really love the characters in this show and their journey.

So that may be the reason why they thought he would be good in a comedy role, if you see Airplane most of the actors they got were known for their serious roles. But the writing is everything and I guess they just didn't get that part right.
The Life's Too Short scene was absolutely hilarious, but you just can't base a whole film around someone sucking all the life out of the room. Or, well, I guess you can, because they did.

Hooray, that's two of us (outside Australia) that have seen Fisk! It's a hard show to elevator pitch to others, but it was such a comfort food watch for me.
Adolescence... not so much.
Great, yes; comforting, hell no. Weird thing about that show is that the episode that seems to be most acclaimed by everyone else (the third one, with the boy and therapist alone) was my least favourite by far.
