So, since you ate it on April 5 and posted about on April 6, does that mean it’s a real thing? I don’t know what to believe anymore! My mind is spiraling!

In retrospect the timing made the post suspicious, but it was not supposed to be an April Fool's joke. Here's a blog post about it and here's what it looks like cooked (not my photo):

This is actually real? I'm speechless! Congratulations on the best reverse April Fool's joke ever, since it's true, and everyone thought it was not. XD

Yep, I was fooled into thinking I was a fool, which kinda makes me doubly foolish <blush>

PPP, how did it compare to real octopus? Since it’s actually meant to replicate octopus, I’d give it a try. Unfortunately it’s not available in the US. I’d try the 3D-printed salmon too.

I don't know if this goes here but I just want to say how much i love the cereal puzzle in Secret of Monkey Island. We actually loosely used that when my wife and I put together a massive treasure hunt for our church years ago. The kids loved it. I dressed up as Herman Toothrot and stole his persona during the hunt BTW.

Looking at that photo of it cooked, I'd say it might make a much better blackberry sorbet type of thing than fish-flavoured-fungi.
